March 14, 2011: “I’m Not a Feminist But…..” created by Leigh Strimbeck and performed by Russell Sage College students presented as part of Berkshire March Festival of Women Writers- A portion of proceeds to Berkshire Women for Women Worldwide.

March 25/26, 2011: 24 Hour Capital Region/Berkshires Theatre Project-a 24 hour theatre project teaming Capital Region and Berkshire County theatre artists, all with the common goal of creating five original pieces of theatre in 24 hours. Presented with MOPCO and The Arts Center of the Capital Region.

May 5-15, 2011: O Solo Mama Mia Festival-a presentation of solo works written and performed by women to benefit the training of at least one community midwife at Edna’s Hospital in Somaliland. In collaboration with Storefront Artist Project.

Summer 2011 Events:
August 19, 2011: “Women and Words: An Instant Theatre Piece”- special appearance at the WordxWord Festival in Pittsfield. An ensemble of actors led by Leigh Strimbeck, co-founder of WAM Theatre, will start devising on the morning of the performance, working all day to create an original piece of theatre around the theme of Women and Words. The public is welcome to observe the process. Rehearsal starts at 9:00am, performance is at 7:30pm at Palace Park, North Street, Pittsfield. Free

August 22, 2011: Theatresports Tournament REMATCH!- MOPCO and RBIT face off again in a friendly improvisation tournament to help raise funds for WAM’s November production of ‘The Attic, The Pearls and Three Fine Girls’. 7:30pm, Spectrum Playhouse, 20 Franklin Street, Lee, MA

Fall 2011 Events:
November 4-20: ‘The Attic, The Pearls and Three Fine Girls’ a comedy collectively written by Martha Ross, Ann-Marie MacDonald, Jennifer Brewin, Alisa Palmer and Leah Cherniak. $25 adults, $12 students. Barrington Stage Second Space at 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield, MA. The beneficiary is the Berkshire United Way Teen Pregnancy Initiative.
