IMPACT OF YOUR DOLLAR

Here’s what your dollars make possible at WAM Theatre. Thank you so much for supporting us!

For $5,000 you can…

Provide 5 girls the chance to be part of our Girls Ensemble Program and attend our first ISTA festival in Winter 2017!

You will give 5 girls the chance to create theatre about an issue that is important in their lives right now and have the opportunity to attend an ISTA festival in Atlanta in March 2017!

Cover half the WAM office payroll for one month!

This year WAM started our first payroll! This means 9 people get paid each month for doing part-time work for WAM. You can make an enormous difference to us by making it possible for us to give Kristen, Molly, Gwen, Hope, Freda, Barby, Gail, Dawn, Enrico a part-time job in the Berkshires. It’s a very exciting step for WAM to have a payroll and a staff – help us make it possible for those people to keep working for WAM!

For $2,500 you can…

Help give two amazing actors a job in the Berkshires

We have two talented and popular local actors telling the story of ‘The Bakelite Masterpiece’. They get to have a professional theatre contract in the Berkshires in the fall, as do a local professional stage manager and the many other artists who will be working on the show. One paddle raise = one week of employment for these incredible artists. Contribute to job creation for artists in the Berkshires!

Help us pay for rights to the plays we produce

We are thrilled to be giving noted Canadian playwright Kate Cayley, the author of Bakelite Masterpiece, her American premiere. Like all the writers whose work we produce, she is a professional who works hard at her craft and counts on the income from her work to pay her family’s bills – just like you!  If you pay her royalty fee, WAM will have more money available for other programs.

For $1,000 you can…

Send a Teen to WAM’s Girls Ensemble

Help us engage with more teens! At this level you can give 1 girl the opportunity to be part of the second cohort of our Girls Ensemble.

Provide the costume design budget for ‘Bakelite Masterpiece’

The play is set in 1946 Holland. There are two actors who require specific, period clothing. You can make it possible for our actors not to be naked on stage!

For $500 you can…

Host the Opening Night Party for ‘Bakelite Masterpiece’

Help WAM Theatre throw a great opening night party to celebrate our co-production and thank those at WAM and BTG who make ‘Bakelite Masterpiece’ possible!

Send a girl to our IS 183 after school program

Sponsor a girl to participate in this new after program, ensuring that talented young women are allowed the opportunity to express themselves, regardless of circumstance.

For $250 you can…

Help our actors and designers get to the Berkshires!

Some of the artists involved in ‘Bakelite Masterpiece’ come from out of town. We have two generous B&B’s (Garden Gables and Rookwood Inn) that are donating housing for them and now you can contribute to their travel costs to get here.

Fund our Stage Manager budget

This makes it possible for us to have coffee, pencils, throat candies, kleenex, hand sanitizer, etc. in the rehearsal room….and a personalized mug for each actor – small but important things for our professionals.

For $100 you can…

Share the story!

Subsidize 3 tickets to a preview of ‘Bakelite Masterpiece’ ($35 each) to enable members of under-served communities to experience the power of live theatre.

Send a Teen to WAM’s Girls Ensemble

Help us engage with more teens! If ten of you raise your hands, you can make it possible to give 1 girl the opportunity to be part of the second cohort of the Girls Ensemble.

For $50 you can…

Provide one designer trip from NYC to the Berkshires and back

If two of you raise your hands, you make it possible for our ‘Bakelite Masterpiece’ lighting designer to get here from Philadelphia (and back home again)!

Share the story!

Subsidize 1 ticket to a performance of ‘Bakelite Masterpiece’ to enable members of under-served communities to experience the power of live theatre.

For $25 you can…

Help with Actor and Stage Manager travel

Help us get the local actors and stage managers back and forth to rehearsal.

Ice Cream or Pastries at the monthly WAM Team Meetings

At each monthly team meeting, we like to give our hard working team members a treat. You can make it possible for them to get ice cream at the August team meeting from Scoop or pastries from the delicious Patisserie Lenox, both of which are in walking distance from our Lenox office!

If you Volunteer for us you can help…

Get an actor or a designer to the Berkshires

By raising your paddle to volunteer for WAM, you can make it possible for an actor or a designer to get picked up from Wassaic and brought to the Berkshires – we sometimes need help picking our artists up and our volunteers step up to do that.

Ensure our artists get fed during tech weekend

Make a meal and help feed our artists during tech weekend – where everyone involved with the show basically lives at the theatre – I tell you, a home-cooked meal goes a long way for a tired artist!

Help us plan events, host an event, help us stuff envelopes, prepare mailings, enjoy the WAMily outings all together, plus all kinds of other ways to be part of our WAMIly!
