WAM Theatre is seeking audition video submissions for our fall 2022 production of Tori Sampson’s CADILLAC CREW (September-October). 

Deadline May 4, 2022

Due to Covid safely protocols, these auditions will be virtual.  

Please submit a resume and headshot (as PDF and JPEG attachments) and video audition (a brief introduction and a contemporary monologue) by May 4. 2022 to casting@wamtheatre.com 

Please label all these files with your full name and indicate your union status and whether you have local housing in the Berkshires in your email.  

The email should have CADILLAC CREW audition in the subject line.  

If you previously submitted to our EPA’s, you do not need to re-submit.

If you have accessibility needs that prevent your ability to submit a video, please email casting@wamtheatre.com 

If selected, callbacks will be May 14 + 15, 2022. Via Zoom and, if possible, in person in the Berkshires. 

CADILLAC CREW dates:

First rehearsal: Tuesday September 13th, First preview: October 13, Closing: October 29.

Performances run Thursday- Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm, with one Saturday matinee at 2pm. 

SPT 3 Contract, same weekly rate for Equity and Non-Equity of $428.

NOTE: There will be a 1-2 day Cadillac Crew artist retreat in the summer of 2022 in the Berkshires that actors will be invited to attend as guests of WAM. Date TBD.

It will be performed at Shakespeare & Company’s Tina Packer Playhouse in Lenox, MA in October, 2022. 

All rehearsals and performances are in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts (three hours from NYC, two hours from Boston). 

Limited travel and housing possible.  We will prioritize local actors.

Cadillac Crew by Tori Sampson, director Taneisha Duggan – full production, Fall 2022, SPT 3 contract

RACHEL – African American, 26 years, powerhouse, polished, poised, witty black woman. (actor will embody ALICIA,co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement)

ABBY – African American, 22 years, powerhouse, sharp, unapologetic black woman (actor embodies OPAL, co-founder of the Black Lives matter movement)

DEE – African American, 35 years, powerhouse, mature, hesitant but confident, sophisticated black woman (actor embodies PATRISSE, co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement) CAST

SARAH – Biracial, White passing African American, 38 years, powerhouse, down to earth, firm, protective, secure, optimistic, white-passing african american woman (actor will embody JOURNALIST, public radio host)
