Elizabeth Nelson
Elizabeth Nelson is a writer, multidisciplinary artist, and marketing-communications professional. Her fiction and poetry can be read in The Raven Review, Second Chance Lit, Rhodora Magazine, Canyon Voices, Catchwater, and others. Her short story collection was a finalist for the 2024 Tartts Fiction Award. WAM Theatre: Shamelessly Gorgeous Summer Soirée Event Committee and Featured Artist Selected Theatre Credits Elsewhere: I Am Not A Lady (semifinalist for the 2024 Dramatist Guild Virtual Playwriting Fellowship). The Going Price (Steele Stage Rights, selected in 2011 as part of Red Bull Theater’s inaugural Short New Play Festival). Stage directing credits: The Chess Lesson by Sari Caine; world premiere of Spark by Angela Santillo; Rumors; Tallgrass Gothic; Arsenic and Old Lace; Pillow Talk; and Emily. Community Engagement/Activist work: Teaches Vinyasa Flow at Berkshire Yoga Dance and Fitness. Membership/Affiliations: Original art director and managing editor for SDC Journal, a craft magazine published by Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) in NYC. Currently the director of marketing for 1Berkshire, the official regional tourism council for the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Selected training: Texas Wesleyan University (BFA in Theatre).
