Toni Buckley

Toni Buckley (she/her) After receiving her master’s in photography from the University of Applied Science in Dortmund, Germany, Toni Buckley spent the first ten years of her work life on the move
from studio to set to site, adorned with many straps, bags, lenses, and cameras working as a children photographer as well as shooting for companies in the biomedical field and well known magazines like The Scientist. Through the years, her passion for capturing the richness of a moment in the life of a child has evolved as has her craft. Now the Director of Mission, Values and Community Impact at Berkshire Community College and a mother herself to a young child Toni has the joy of experiencing these
moments every day at home and her crafting includes a deep reward in art for everyday living. Her eye is now on the countless stitches and rows of a knit sweater or dress, the steadily growing rows of Syrian beans in the garden and handmade plates and mugs in the cupboard, glazed with exciting shades in a nod to her continued joy in the feeling of color. Toni’s photographs featured here were shot in Sweden, in 2011 and are at once a moment from the past and a looking forward to the present.
