Communications: Get the word out!
- Put up posters
- Give out postcards
- Write thank you notes to donors & volunteers
Ushering: Welcome the public to WAM performances!
- Pass out programs
- Scan tickets
- Assisting people to their seats
- Answer questions about WAM Theatre
Hospitality: Feed, transport and house visiting WAM artists!
- Drive out-of-town artists to & from the train or bus station
- Offer artist housing during productions
- Cook for our volunteer led tech dinners (a special WAM tradition!)
Special Events: Making the magic happen!
- “Table” for WAM at festivals and events
- Organize volunteer appreciation events
- Help out with our annual gala
- Volunteer on a case-by-case basis as your schedule allows
Access: Ensure everyone is welcomed and taken care of at WAM!
- Identify & reduce barriers to accessing theatre, including for people with disabilities (physical, neurological, developmental etc)
- Educate WAM volunteers & staff around issues that impact accessibility of theatre in the Berkshires
- Recommend & implement ways to improve WAM’s ability to welcome people who have additional access needs
