Juliana von Haubrich

Juliana von Haubrich (she/her) is WAM’s Production Manager and a Berkshire-based Scenic Designer. Selected Designs for WAM Theatre: What The Constitution Means to Me, Cadillac Crew, The Thanksgiving Play, Roe, Ann, Lady Randy, Bakelite Masterpiece, In Darfur, Emilie and Melancholy Play. Selected Designs Elsewhere:  Richard II and La Cenerentola for The Juilliard School, and The Taming of the Shrew and Pudd’nhead Wilson for The Acting Company. In the Berkshires, Hymn, The Waverly Gallery and Heisenberg at Shakespeare & Co., Pride@Prejudice, Tiny Beautiful Things, I And You, Disgraced, and Curve of Departure for Chester Theatre Company, and The Whale for the Adirondack Theatre Festival.  In 2019, she designed Ann for The Arena Stage in DC, and Dallas Theatre Center. TV/Film: Juliana worked on Babylon 5 (TNT), and Star Trek (Paramount). Inspiration: Juliana finds inspiration in the work of her father, Charles Haubrich, who was a sculptor and designer in Detroit. Activist Work: She is a founding member of Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, creating an all-female tech crew from 1993-96. Empowering young women to believe in themselves has been her guiding star. Affiliations: She is a member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829. Education: B.A. in Anthropology (U of M) and an M.F.A. in Scenic Design (Calarts). Awards: Honored with a Best of L.A. award for designing Ghosts in the Cottonwood by Adam Rapp, Etc.: Juliana has also illustrated a children’s book, “The Great Snail Race,” and designed the town flag for Williamstown, MA.
