Elders, teens make dreams come true in special WAM Theatre event

WEST STOCKBRIDGE — You can call the women of WAM Theatre’s new ensemble “seniors,” “elders,” and even some are OK with the term “crones.” But whatever you do, don’t call them “elderly,” because this group of over-65-year-olds is showing no signs of being slowed by age.

For the past two weeks, the company’s Elder Ensemble have taken up lively residence alongside the WAM Teen Ensemble in The Foundry, a new performing and visual arts space located in the heart of West Stockbridge. Together, the groups have been discussing current events, sharing ideas and shattering stereotypes of the other generation, all of which will be confronted in a devised theater production this week titled, “Fractured Dreams.”
